Feb. 14th, 2020 06:22 amReadying a not-at-all-apologetic Very sorry, but we're closed, Aziraphale adjusted his spectacles and poked his head out from around the shelf of poetry he had been inventorying. Given the holiday, he had expected to find a couple out for a stroll, especially with such nice weather for this time of year. Instead his scowl dissolved into a delighted smile at the sight of Crowley crossing the rotunda. Did they have plans? He didn't remember setting a date. Was it dinnertime already?
"Crowley!" He straightened his waistcoat and dusted off his sleeves as he came to greet the demon. "I hope you haven't been causing too much trouble for the young lovers." Aziraphale frowned and glanced out the window, then down to his pocket watch. "It...is February, isn't it? I'm afraid time may have gotten away from me."

"I brought these for you."

"For me? Oh, you shouldn't have; I haven't even gotten you anyth--" He stops his happy bustling about and gives an astonished gasp as he lovingly cradles the poetry. "Crowley, where did you find this? I have been looking for centuries!"

He doesn't have to mention that he's been on the hunt for that very specific book for ages as well, does he? No. No he does not.
